Location-
Morrison is a small but
thriving town surrounded by magnificent vistas and open space parks.
Morrison is tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and
located 15 miles southwest of Denver.

History- George
Morrison in 1869 built the town’s namesake “Red Rocks” amphitheater.
This famous amphitheater began as a stone quarry. The native sandstone
is of great quality and much of it was used during the 1900s to build
the beautiful red rock homes in Denver.
Recreation-
Visitors comes to Morrison for their restaurants, rocks, and/or rock
concerts at nearby Red Rocks Park. You may be passing through on the
way to and from the spectacular high peaks to the west, or come to
Morrison for the day or a whole weekend away from the city, just as
visitors did in Morrison’s earliest days.
