Location- Larkspur is
located in Douglas County and situated midway between the Denver and
Colorado Springs metropolitan areas.

History: Larkspur was incorporated in 1979, with a
small town feel of 310 residents and is home to the annual Colorado
Renaissance Festival that attracts more than 180,000 visitors annually.
Shopping:
Larkspur’s major grocery stores are a 15-20
minute drive away. Major shopping areas are a 25-45 minutes drive on
Interstate 25. Castle Rock is the closest large town with a major chain
grocery store. And just a little further away are both Denver and
Colorado Springs. A forty-minute drive will get you to either city, and
so Larkspur has become the perfect “commuter” town.
Recreation:
Larkspur has something to offer everyone.
There are one million acres of Pike National Forest surrounding the
area and the addition of Mueller State Park, numerous recreational
opportunities are available including horseback riding, fishing, skiing
and mountain biking to name a few.
Larkspur has two local
Golf Courses, Bear Dance and Perry Park.
