Location-
The Cheesman Park
neighborhood is located near Denver’s Botanic Gardens at 13th Avenue
and Franklin Street. Cheesman Park surrounds 80 acres of open space
including a mix of apartments and single-family homes that increase in
value substantially near the park. The current population is
approximately 8,200 residents.

History-
Cheesman Park was designated as the Prospect Hill Cemetery by General
William Larimer in 1858 when Cheesman Park originally encompassed the
current area, the Botanic Gardens region, nearby city water reservoirs
and Congress Park. The cemetery was relocated in 1890 and the site was
reclassified as Congress Park.
Recreation- Cheesman Park
provides a 150-mile panoramic view from the Cheesman Memorial Pavilion
to the Front Range and hosts summer concerts. The large playground
entertains children with it’s slides and swings.
